Richard Books is a retired founding Partner of Elias Books. Richard’s practice focused on oil and gas conservation law at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

Richard practiced law in the field of oil and gas and energy law for over forty years. His clients included major oil and gas companies, large independent oil and gas producers, small exploration and development companies, and individual royalty owners. Richard is a past president of the Mineral Lawyers Society of Oklahoma City and has been a frequent faculty member for oil and gas seminars in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado.
