Mr. Brown's legal experience is in civil litigation and corporate risk management and counseling. Mr. Brown brings over 20 years of legal knowledge to the firm, and has advocated many cases in front of numerous Oklahoma state courts, Oklahoma regulatory agencies, U.S. District Courts and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice focuses on corporate defense, with an emphasis in business transactions, oil and gas, environmental claims and real estate . A significant portion of his practice involves business entity transactions and risk management counseling.
Active in the legal community, Mr. Brown is a member and president elect of the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society and a member of the Litigation and Mineral Law Sections of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He frequently lectures at CLE seminars on topics concerning oil and gas exploration and environmental issues.
Mr. Brown received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1981. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1984. He is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state and federal courts, as well as the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
