Jennifer H. Kirkpatrick joined Elias, Books, Brown & Nelson in 2007 after spending several years as an attorney in the business litigation department of a large Oklahoma City law firm. During her career, Ms. Kirkpatrick has represented both privately-held and public companies in the areas of civil litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights, public utility regulation, commercial, administrative and oil and gas law. Ms. Kirkpatrick is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma Courts, the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Kirkpatrick has appeared before state and federal courts and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Ms. Kirkpatrick received her education at Cameron University (B.A. 1996), the University of Oklahoma (M.A. 1999), and Oklahoma City University (J.D. 2002). While at OCU, Ms. Kirkpatrick was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy team (2001 regional finalist), and The Order of Barristers. Additionally, she was the recipient of the Cason Conger Law Scholarship and a Merit Scholarship and was awarded a CALI Award for Excellence in Litigation Practice. Ms. Kirkpatrick is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, for which she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division, the American Bar Association, and the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyer’s Society. She is also actively involved with the Oklahoma Academy for State Goals for which she serves on the Board of Directors. |
